A NEW-AGE SCHOOL DEDICATED TO AFFORDABLE HIGH QUALITY LEARNING IN A PEACEFUL PRISTINE ENVIRONMENT
One of the most striking features of AVRS is its location: ringed on all sides by
hills, and most visibly by the Western Ghats on the west. The 40-acre school campus ,
set amidst the beautiful coffee plantations and ever green flora of the picturesque
Western Ghats, promises to take the students away from the hubbub of the city.
The campus itself is very aesthetically built, with fine structures that
do not overwhelm, but fit in tastefully with the sloping landscape. All activities at
AVRS, both academic and non-academic are student-centric. The learner-centric curriculum
framework has been designed by a core curriculum group comprising experienced educationists,
psychologists, teachers and artists with inputs from international curricula for our students.
The sports facilities include a cricket ground with turf, a 25 m swimming pool, basketball,
tennis and badminton courts, a gymnasium and horse riding grounds… Also featured are
separate dance, drama, and music studios. Quality education is made affordable at AVRS,
which is truly a home away from home.

Profile
The School is set in 40 acres on the outskirts of Chickmagalur Town
(11.39 lakhs pop.) in Karnataka, about 240 kms from Bangalore
(3 hours driving time). The area is known as the coffee land of India where
beautiful plantations of coffee ranging from a few acres to thousands of
acres dot the surroundings. The setting of the School in this scenic location
with the vast biodiversity of the Western Ghats is an integral part of the
differentiation strategy vis-a-vis other schools as it gives the students a
closeness to nature to facilitate absorption of a much needed sense of
the nature of the ecosystem.
