many AITians, AIT Alumni meet 2010 will be held on 3rd / 4th of September 2010 at
New Jersy / New York, USA which coincides with the AKKA WKC 2010. I request you
to attend this meet and kindly inform other AITians about this meet. Regarding the
Venue and the exact date please contact Mr. Haridas Lahari, & Mr. Madhu
Rangaiah. I will be attending this meet and eagerly waiting to see you all.
BIT Alumni are all over the world. While it has always been that way, the last few
decades have seen more and more of our Alumni member travel worldwide. This is good
sign as we take our memories and pride of being a BITian with us to our new environs.
As we get older our minds often drift back to our younger college days.
"Sri Krishnadevaraja Wodiyar was the founder of Mysore Medical College in 1924.
In the year 1924-25 this Medical School was raised to the grade of a college called
as the Mysore Medical College; then the candidates were prepared for Medical Degrees
and the college was affiliated to the University of Mysore. From 1930 onwards for
nearly 25 years our college remained as the sole medical institution in the entire
state giving outstanding education with a proven excellency. During 1949-1975 has
been the era of growth and development. This has been a golden era in the history
of Mysore Medical College. It is during this period many Mysore Medical College
graduates moved to various parts of the world mainly USA, UK, Canada. Many of them
have proved their excellence and distinguished themselves in various fields as clinicians,
academicians and administrators, etc.... "
IIT Alumni serve as outward-facing window from the Institute to the Alumni:
Act as primary interface from Institute to alumni-at-large
Authorize alumni access to campus facilities
Administer Distinguished Alumnnus Award program
administer Travel Grant program, etc.
MCE has a very large number of Alumni who are considered as its assets. The alumni
are also proud of the Alma mater where they have spent the most important time of
their life and cherish the memories. Many alumni have scaled heights in their areas
of specialization and the institution is proud of them. The Alumni Association was
started in the year 1967. The main objective is to promote a fellow feeling amongst
the alumni by arranging alumni meets in the campus. There are Chapters of this association
in various cities. Many alumni visit the Alma mater and help the institution in
whatever way possible The Association has a well furnished Seminar Hall of its own
in the campus.
An association of old students of the NIE was formed by popular demand during the
NIE founder's day celebrations of October 1957. Dr.N.Krishnamurthy - batch of 1955
Civil Engineering, (then) Lecturer in Civil Engineering was chosen to be the Secretary
of the association, named National Institute of Engineering Alumni Association (NIEAA).
NIEAA is serving as forum to promote and foster good relationship between alumni,
present students, Management and teaching faculty, a forum to interact with each
other. NIEAA has regional centers at Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi and overseas
where alumni meet periodically and deliberate.
The main objective of this association is to provide means of communication between
the Ex - students, Ex - staffs with the present students. Helping the present students
in their Studies, Job opportunities and Extra curricular activities etc.,
"Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Engineering and Technology (also called SDMCET), at Dharwad in Karnataka, India, earlier affiliated to Visveswaraiah Technological University (VTU), Belgaum (Karnataka) is now an autonomous body. It is the first Institute of North Karnataka, India to get accreditation for all its courses by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi, India. SDMCET, founded in 1979, ranks among top 5% (91 out of 1350) of Indian engineering colleges recently. The college has been granted autonomous status.
The SDMCET campus is known by name of Dhavalagiri. The college has one of the finest campus. The building of college can be said to be an architectural master piece. The college campus was developed without disturbing the topography of the area. The college has well equipped laboratories, large classrooms, a playground and a library.

SJCE Alumni Association was formed during mid eighties and started with one chapter
at Bangalore. The association has an Executive Council having 12 members along with
a President and Secretary. The Executive Council has formulated the objectives and
activities of the association, which include both short term and long-term goals
of the association. It has also formulated the Constitution of the SJCE Alumni Association
along with bylaws for its effectiveness and sustainability. The association has
already organized two Alumni meets, one at Mysore and one at Bangalore. The Annual
Alumni Meet is scheduled to be held on the campus of SJCE during the 4th week of
December every year.
Objectives:
1. To establish a sustainable network of globally spread JAYCEITES
2. To promote liaison between the ALUMNI and the college
3. To provide a common platform for the ALUMNI of the college
4. To enable the alumni to participate and contribute for the overall development
of the institute
5. To contribute significantly for the scientific and technological advancements
of the country
The University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering, popularly known as UVCE, is
an engineering college affiliated to the Bangalore University, and is located in
Bangalore, India. The college was established in the year 1917, by Bharat Ratna
Sir M. Visvesvaraya. The college is approved by the AICTE and the Government of
Karnataka. The departments are accredited with five A+ for three years by the National
Board of Accreditation, New Delhi.
Now, this is the only engineering college under the annals of the Bangalore University.
UVCE has recently completed its glorious platinum jubilee. Equipped with modern
laboratories and facilities, UVCE is known for its dedicated faculty as well as
its progressive research and development activities. The alumni of UVCE, spread
globally and involved in front line engineering education, research and entrepreneurship,
stand testimony to the quality of engineering education imparted in this prestigious
technical institution.
