It is mandatory that all participants are registered to AKKA conference
Entries must reach us by 31st of July 2010, no exceptions please.
Only Kannada songs should be presented (Film, Jaanapada, Devaranaama or Bhaava Geethe)
The participants are responsible for the Music/Karaoke Tracks
The categories are: TEEN - Age 13 to 19 and SENIOR - 20 years and above
Each Kannada Koota is entitled to send in 2 Entries in each of the categories (TEEN and SENIOR)
If an aspirant participant is not a member of any Kannada Koota and a member of AKKA only, he or she should send the recorded song (either as a soft copy or on a CD/ audio Cassette) for preliminary screening. The address to mail CD or the Audio Cassette is 9, Dutchess Ln., Dayton, NJ-08810. Please include your name, Tel #, address and email id for proper communication. You will be informed in advance whether you have been selected to participate in AKKA IDOL competition or not based on the selection committee’s input.
You are welcome to email the track to wkc2010.akkaidol@gmail.com so that we can have them stored in i-tunes for easy access. The track should be sent with the participant’s name, contact number and email id along with the associated Kannada Koota’s name as well. Your tracks will not be returned.
Every participant MUST come prepared with TWO FILM SONGS(one for semi-final,one for final) and ONE NON-FILM song (janapada geethe or,bhava geethe or devaranama for semi final only)
Once we receive the entry of the song that the participant will be singing, the song cannot be changed for any reason.
Each participant will be given ONLY ONE CHANCE to perform to prove their talent
Please have a copy of the track as a backup.
RULES FOR SEMI FINALS
Each participant MUST sing one FILM song FIRST (ONE PALLAVI AND ONE CHARANA ONLY WITH KARAOKE TRACK) and one NON-FILM song (Jaanapada Geethe or Bhaava Geethe or Devaranaama WITHOUT THE TRACK).
Each participant given a total of 6 minutes and includes a brief introduction, one film song ,one non film song
3 participants from each category will go for the finals
RULES FOR FINAL
Each finalist will be asked to sing one film song, Karoake track required in advance
Each participant will be given a total of 5 minutes and includes a brief introduction and one film song
