      Georgia on my mind…

With this memorable melody by Ray Charles, we welcome you to our home state Georgia and capital, Atlanta. We have more than 700 Kannadiga families who call this state home away from our homeland Karnataka.  We cordially invite you to enjoy AKKA 2012, and also explore Atlanta and Georgia with friends and family.

Founded February 12, 1733 by James Oglethorpe as the 13th colony, Georgia became the 4th US state on January 2, 1788. Today, Georgia is the ninth largest state, third fastest-growing state in the U.S and the center for business and tourism in the southeast.
