Category - Vocal
Kids: 5-8yrs
Juniors: 9-12 yrs
Teens: 13-17 yrs
Adults: 18+ yrs

P.S. : Age is determined as of April 1st 2014

Winners and Runners-up

  • Each category will have a winner and a runner-up in their respective age groups.
  • Adult category will have a separate male and female winners.

Rules and Guidelines:

  • Signup is now closed for this event.
  • Please make sure you register to AKKA WKC 2014. Only Registered participants will be allowed to compete in the competition
  • You are expected to be present on all 3 days of the convention – August 29th, 30th, 31st.
  • There will be 3 rounds of singing before selecting a winner in each category
    • Prelims: 1:00 PM in Room# 211A (Sevanthige) on Friday, August 29th
    • Semi-Final: 1:00 PM in Room# 211A (Sevanthige) on Saturday, August 30th
    • Finals for Kids/Juniors/Teens: 3:00 PM in Room# 211A (Sevanthige) on Saturday, August 30th
    • Grand-Final for Adults: 12:10 PM on stage "Sampige" on Sunday, August 31st
  • You are expected to be prepared with at least 3 movie songs and 1 non-movie Kannada song (Janapada/Bhavageethe)
  • All the songs should be in Kannada language. Only exceptions allowed are other language songs from Kannada movies (eg: “If you come today...” from Kannada movie “Operation Diamond Racket”)
  • Singing with karaoke is a must for all the songs. You will need to provide the karaoke tracks yourself




AKKA MUSIC IDOL 2014 team reserves the right to change or modify any of the rules listed above as deemed necessary for the proper functioning of the program.
All contestants will be duly notified of any such changes
