Information on AKKA National Youth Competitions

Quiz

1. Preliminaries will be conducted at different parts of the country. Register to get information about competition nearest to you

2. Preliminaries are based on performances of individuals. Winners of preliminaries will participate in Semifinal and Final (team based) to be held during AKKA convention at San Jose, California

3. A semi random team of 3-4 youths (with mix of age group from 10 years -- 16 years) will be formed by the organizing team to contest in the semifinal and the final

4. Teams for the semi final and final will be formed at least 2 weeks in advance to the competition. This will provide great opportunity to build your team for success

5. Quiz questionnaires for preliminaries will be based on Science, Geography, Indian Mythology and facts about India

Spell Bee

1. Preliminaries to be conducted at different parts of the country. Register to get info about competition nearest to you

2. Regular Spell Bee rules with a slight twist. There will be bonus points for giving equivalent (nearest) Kannada word

3. There will be 2 age group -- 7 years to 9 years and 10 years to 12 years

4. Finals will be held during AKKA convention in August (Rules may slightly be changed for Finals)

5. Words will be randomly (semi-randomly) picked from dictionary. Encourage kids to use English to Kannada dictionary
