& Dignitaries attending the Conference
Jokumaraswamy–
a folk play written by Dr. Chandrashekara Kambara has
won most coveted ‘Kamala Devi Chatopadhyaya’
award.
The play will be Benaka
troupe from Bangalore along with Rangadhvani of Southern
California.
In
addition to these,,many popular
artists from Karnataka representing the field of literature,
movie, drama, music, dance, etc. will be attending the conference.
We will be posting other artists and dignitaries as we get confirmation.

Venue & Infrastructure
The 5th
AKKA World Kannada Conference-2008 will be held in Chicago
at fabulous Rosemont
Convention Center. The Convention Center is located just
minutes away from the O'Hare International Airport. The Conference
will be for 3-days (August 29, 30 & 31 of 2008). Over 5,000
people are expected to attend this conference.
The convention center offers
a plenty of hall space for program events and exhibit booths
There are enclosed sky bridges connecting
the convention center and the hotels
