The resort is about half an hour distance from the
airport. To reduce your shuttle wait time at the airport
we kindly request you to EMAIL the following
information. Once we compile the arrival times of

we could request a better coordinated service from
Mears. Check the article on the right for ticket prices,
booking and discount.

including Arya Band, performance by Sangeeta Katti,
and other artists.
Business forum has several new dignitaries who have
accepted to come from India. Interested folks register
at the registration desk.
AKKA is now proud to present the very first pageant for
Amerikannadigas. Please check the FAQ and
www.akkaonline.org/2004 for details.
In room day care is available for $18 for 1st hour for
upto two kids. 24 hr notice is required. There is a nice
day care run by La Petite for children above 3 inside
the resort. Please check the link on the right for details.

| Theme Park Transportation |

Gaylord offers a complimentary shuttle to all 4
Walt Disney World Theme parks, Sea World, Universal
and Wet'n Wild water park. Departures are from
the Tour Lobby adjacent to the main hotel entrance.
Please check the departure schedule next to the
concierge desk.
Tickets can be purchased at the Concierge desk, in the
lobby, for shuttles to other area theme parks. All
shuttles depart from the Tour Lobby on the lobby level.

From Orlando International Airport to Gaylord Palms
Resort & Convention Center:
Follow directional signs at the airport to "South Exit".
Follow the South Exit road to 417 South (also the
Greenway). This is a toll road. Once on 417 take Exit 3
which is Osceola Parkway. Turn right and go 1/4 mile to
International Drive. Turn left and enter the resort on
right.
Taxis can also be obtained on Level 1. The approximate
cost is $50, and it will take about 30 minutes to reach
the Gaylord Palms.
Orlando also has a wide variety of rental car services,
which may be reserved through your travel services
provider. Pricing for parking at the Gaylord Palms is as
follows: $14 per day for valet parking; $7 per day for
overnight self parking.

| Airport to Resort Transportation |

MEARS Transportation Group is the hotel recommended
shuttle service. You can walk to any of their booths,
which are located near the baggage-claim area at the
Orlando International Airport (OIA).
MEARS shuttles pick up on Level 1 of OIA, and depart
approximately every 30 minutes. The shuttles are not
private and they may make stops at other hotels
before reaching the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention
Center.
Round-trip cost is $29. MEARS is extending a $4
discount to AKKA Conference participants. Akka
volunteers will also have the discount coupon at the
airport or will be emailed to you as soon as it is
available. Mears is not providing discount for online
booking. If MEARS arranges a bus at peak arrival times,
the bus terminal is one level below
the baggage claim.

for Mears ready, Terminal A has two Kiosks which can
give boarding pass for the shuttle to Gaylord Palms. In

lobby enterance of the hotel.
